800eyes.com is free to you, in fact ODS will be compiling as much of the information as we can on our own, however we ask that Doctors register their practices with us to guarantee correct and current data to their patients. Further when you register with us we collect some additional information such as your operating hours to answer more complex patient queries.
In the near future ODS is planning on releasing additional services to Optometric & Ophthalmic practices which will allow them to create their own website and offer additional services to patients... but these are optional additional services, basic registration will remain free!
